Review
WIAFTGUM is pretty fun to type. This book is not very fun to read. Chris Hedges was a war corespondent and this is part memoir but mostly a rumination on people and war. It's pretty grim which is Hedges' point. I think the best commentary is on the media both adrenaline junkies like himself, addicted to war and the patriotic coverage war always receives from reporters. This was a good book and I think if offers a lot of insight into how society deals with (embraces) war.
